Chapter 1: BasicsOkay we will start the tutorial with the environments:

1. The tool bar – these displays the clickable items that you might need in your movie (like shapes, texts, pencil, and etc.)
2. The Timeline – these serves as the progress bar of your movie. Time line corresponds to the millisecond of your movie. (This is the most important tool that we will use)
3. The menu bar – this serves as the reference and options for our movie. You can find some usable effects there. (Just like photoshop)
4. The library – these displays the file, imported from your hard disk to your animation. This also serves as a Directory for your movie clips and etc.
5. The Actions Pane – this serves as your coding sheet for you scripts and other program codes of your movie.
6. The properties pane – you can edit, add effects, adjust, and etc. using this panel. Also you can see the dimensions of your project or movie with this panel.
IMPORTINGOkay, now that you already know the environment. I will now teach you on how to import files to your library. Some said that dragging the picture into the Flash Platform can make it appear. (Please refrain to use this method because when you drag one picture on your file, and then sent to another PC, It will ask for the directory of that file).

Ok, now click File > Import > Then click Import to library
After clicking, this dialogue box will appear

Now locate the file/image/music that you want to insert into your Flash Movie. Now click the oPeN button to start importing your file into your flash file.
NOTE: Please pay attention to the size of your file to be imported. It affects the size of the file when inserted (more specifically, Videos and Music).
After importing, you can see the files on the library box at the right hand corner of your platform. You can now drag and drop the items to your main field to start working.
Compiling your movie:When you’re finished and you want to have the stand alone format of your movie. Just follow these steps.
File>Save As
Now after saving your File, you can now make a stand alone movie by pressing CTRL+Enter.
File Classifications:
.swf <- The stand alone format of your movie.
.fla <- The Main file of your Movie.
.flv <- A flash movie format (usually, the main format used by youtube and other streaming video sites)
.swd <- The Debug file of your movie or presentation
Poster’s Notes:Please Avoid spamming when using [flash][/flash] codes. Due to the following reasons:
1. Some of the forumers will experience difficulty on their connection, due to .swf files have a large amounts of bytes.
2. When you double post an animation with sounds, it will be irritating.
3. And lastly, the .swf cookies is being transmitted when you embed your animation here in the forums. Consider others connection. (The moderators will remove your post if you do this)
4. This Tutorial is free for all, avoid flaming here in this thread.
